Welcome to Fort Kids!
Fort Kids Children’s Museum will be a dedicated space along the Arkansas Riverfront in downtown Fort Smith for children and grown-ups to learn through play. We invite you to learn more about our mission, vision, and future location!
While we work to bring the permanent home of Fort Kids Children's Museum to life on the Riverwalk, we’re excited to welcome you to our temporary pop-up location at the Bakery District in Fort Smith. Stop by to explore hands-on activities, learn more about our vision, and be part of the journey as we continue to raise funds and develop our plans for a world-class museum.
Mission
To build a world of possibility and connection through play
Vision
Fort Kids will provide a safe and inviting space for ALL children and grown-ups to learn through play, sparking curiosity, joy, and confidence. Through hands-on exhibits, exploration, and education, we envision empowering children to connect to themselves, others, and the world to build a brighter future.
Location
Fort Kids will be located on the Arkansas Riverfront in Fort Smith next to the United States Marshal Museum. The land was generously donated by the Westphal Family.
“Children learn as they play. Most importantly in play, children learn how to learn.”
